I have a 1961 Agrati Capri Scooter for sale, it needs restoring but I believe it is all there except for the headlight glass and rubber mat.  l.hudston@Cranfield.ac.uk

Legshields seem solid (definitely check) and obviously no front mudguard, but looks in good order once you see past the surface rust

I have finally decided to sell my Agrati Capri as I have realised that I am not going to have time to get it back on the road. I bought the scooter when I lived in Dublin (hence the vintage Irish registration) and it has been garaged ever since.

This is a 1960 (I think) Capri 98 which is in amazing, unmolested condition. It is unrestored but only has light surface rust and as you can see from the pictures it is complete with all badges and it would make for a very easy and interesting restoration but you could almost ride as is (you would definitely want to replace the tyres though!) - it has a great patina and looks very original.

Amazingly the scooter runs and rides and all electrics appear to work. The engine has great compression and I have ridden up and down the road on it without any problems. It is sold as seen however, and I make no further claims for its reliability or provenance.

I am including a couple of items in the sale which I think make this an even more attractive proposition. As well as the complete scooter I am including another complete frame with leg shields and 2 side panels and a headset top (not pictured - they are in may attic somewhere!) as spares. I will also include the original instruction booklet (pictured) which contains the deal stamp from the original supplier (Agrati Sales Ireland in Clondalkin): original history such as this is very rare.

I also have a superb seat which has been beautifully recovered in blue and grey (Capri colours) and has had the original Capri badge refitted. The seat hasn’t been refitted since it was done and is consequently in new condition.
I paid a lot for this on Ebay so it will only be included in the sale if the winning bid is over £750.

This is scooter really needs more love and attention than I can give it and with 4 hungry Vespa and Lambretta tanks to feed, there’s simply no room in the nest. It will be sad to see it go but it will make someone a great project.

The scooter is located in Glossop in Derbyshire and you are welcome to view before you bid by arrangement or I will try and answer any questions.

I will require a deposit of £200 by Paypal immediately after the auction ends and the balance by either cash or cleared cheque on collection which should be within two weeks of the auction ending.
